Class Action Lawsuit for weight-loss
Tijuana-based Dr. Mario Almanza is named in suit
Gregory Law Group files Arizona lawsuit claiming that Arizona patients were harmed by operations in Mexico as well as post-surgical care in Arizona.

There are more than 20 people and businesses named in the lawsuit. It also includes an Arizona woman believed to have been recruited for doctors in Mexico. It alleges fraud and negligent misrepresentation.
Jessica Ballandby is a plaintiff in the class action lawsuit. She also filed her own lawsuit against Dr. Almanza and his alleged recruiter, Sandy Brimhall. Ballandby, a mother of two, got weight loss surgery with Dr. Almanza back in Tijuana back in March 2014. She said she experienced problems almost immediately.

Gregory Law Group files class action lawsuit against Arizona companies who arranged for surgeries in Tijuana, Mexico
On April 3, 2018, the Gregory Law Group filed a class action lawsuit in Arizona State court on behalf of hundreds of persons from Arizona who have had Lap Band or Gastric Sleeve surgery in Tijuana, Mexico. The lawsuit seeks damages against not only the doctors in Mexico who did the surgeries, but also against persons and businesses in Arizona who arranged for these surgeries.
